Banquet style
Banquet style used for events when food is served.
Large round tables of 60 inches in diameter are used to
seat 8 to 10 people. This style is perfect for
weddings, reunions and dining for larger groups.
This style can also be useful in the Half Moon Rounds where
the seating is placed around half of the table so all are
facing towards the front towards a speaker or focal
point. |
 |
 |
Conference Style
Attendees are seated around sides of the table that
promotes dialogue between participants.
This set up is effective for meetings and
discussion groups. |
Classroom style
Rows of 6 to 8 foot tables with 3 to 4 chairs
at each one, with tables arranged to face the
front of the room. Typical set up for seminars
and meetings. This can be adjusted to
the Chevron or "V" Shape where
tables are slightly turned towards each other
with a center aisle for ease of communication
between the table and presenter. |
 |
 |
U-Shape
Six or eight-foot conference tables placed end to
end in the room to form the shape of a U. Chairs
are placed around the outside of the U. Works
well with small groups that require conversations
between the presenter and audience, as well as
conversations between the participants. Hollow
Square is when a table is added to close in
the U-Shape table leaving an open space in the
middle. Chairs are placed around the perimeter of
the square. |
Theater style
Rows of chairs facing the front of the room,
usually divided by center and/or side aisles.
At the front of the room can be a podium or
head table. This maximizes meeting room
space utilization. Theater style works well when
the audience needs to take minimal notes and/or
the presentation is not lengthy. |
