THE LODGE AT BLUE LAKES FUTURE STARS
MUSICAL SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST
UPPER LAKE, CA – Giving back to the community is a commitment made by The Lodge at Blue Lakes, and in the upcoming school year, The Lodge will be hosting a soloist talent contest/music scholarship program for Lake and Mendocino county colleges and high school students through the “The Lodge at Blue Lakes Future Stars”. The Lodge at Blue Lakes will donate $3,000 in scholarship prize money to students. A $1,000 scholarship will go to the first-place winner. The second-place winner will receive a $600 scholarship, and a $400 scholarship will be awarded to the third-place winner. The first place winner’s school also will receive $1,000.
Our finals will be broadcast live via KXBX from the The Lodge At Blue Lakes Special Events Center. The 1st prize winner will be the front act performer in Bicoastal Media's Concert In The Park in 2011.
The contest will be held at the renovated special events center at The Lodge at Blue Lakes, which overlooks spring-fed Blue Lakes in Upper Lake. An ideal Northern California setting for corporate, business, or personal functions. The 6,000 square foot special events center also includes a large chef’s kitchen for catering, outdoor amenities, and seating up to 250 guests.
September 30th, 2010, at 6:00pm, The Lodge At Blue Lakes would like to invite representatives from Lake and Mendocino schools to attend a planning meeting to discuss this upcoming contest.

The Lodge will also be holding a contest open to all high school students to design a poster on the Future Stars competition. There will be a $100.00 cash prize, a complimentary day use at The Lodge At Blue Lakes for their family up to 6 members and a two hour use of our electric pontoon boat.
